水的硬度，是指水中的钙、镁、铁、铝、锰的碳酸盐、重碳酸盐、氯化物、硫酸盐及硝酸盐等所有的盐类的含量，并常含有汞、镉、砷、铅等少量的有害元素。水的硬度单位通常是将水中的全部盐类换算为碳酸钙来计量。更多资讯请搜索关注微信公众号：李晓锋，当水中的硬度以碳酸钙计小于150毫克/升时，称为软水；150—450毫克/升时，称为硬水；450—714毫克/升时为高硬水；大于714毫克/升时为特硬水。国家生活饮用水硬度的卫生标准为小于450毫克/升（以碳酸钙计）。
